Choose the permit class you need. Every course includes theory, practical lessons and preparation for the IOV test.
- A MotorcycleMotorcycles above 125cc and 11kW.
- A1 Light motorcycleLight motorcycles up to 125cc and 11kW, including many boda bodas.
- B1 Tricycles and quadricyclesThree- and four-wheeled light vehicles such as tuk-tuks.
- B MotorcarCars, SUVs and pick-ups up to 3,500kg with up to 8 passenger seats. The best place to start.
- C1 Medium goods vehicleGoods vehicles from 3,500kg up to 7,500kg.
- C Heavy goods vehicleGoods vehicles over 3,500kg, such as large trucks.
- CE Heavy goods vehicle with trailerClass C trucks towing a trailer over 750kg, including articulated trucks.
- C1E Medium goods vehicle with trailerClass C1 vehicles towing a trailer over 750kg, up to 12,000kg combined.
- D1 MinibusPassenger vehicles with 9 to 16 passenger seats, such as taxis.
- D BusPassenger vehicles with 9 to 30 passenger seats, such as coasters.
- DE Large busBuses with more than 30 passenger seats, with or without a trailer.
- F Special machineryEarth-moving and construction machines such as graders, bulldozers and compactors.
- G Agricultural tractorFarm tractors and their attachments.
- EXT Class ExtensionAlready have a driving licence? Add a new class to it. We train you for the new class and prepare you for the IOV test.
From learner to licensed driver
Every permit class in Uganda follows the same route. We walk it with you.

Pick your class and send us your details on WhatsApp. We reply with the price, payment details and your start date.
Get your learner permit
We give you proof of enrollment and guide you through the medical form, PRN payment and collection at UDLS.
Take your lessons
Theory on road signs and the Highway Code, then practical lessons until you are ready.
Pass the IOV test
Sit the driving test at the Inspectorate of Vehicles and receive your Certificate of Competence.
Collect your permit
Apply for the full permit, pay the PRN and pick it up from UDLS a few working days later.
